I'm taking a break from this for awhile. I'm working on other stories and I have writer's block on Rosie right now. Suggestions will still be accepted. Who knows when I'll revisit Rosie's story again. But rest assured, Rosie will recieve some much needed work soon.

((Rosie's Story, 3rd draft.))

All Rosie could remember were things... strange things... All she could remember was blood, injections, and wires that made her nerves tingle and go numb. Everything had been a blur in her mind. But now? There were two figures, always watching her through the glass. One was taller, and older. The other was smaller, and the one who talked the most. At first, Rosie would rush to the glass, sorely wanting to devour their flesh and steaming, hot blood. Soon, however, things changed.

Rosie began to recognize them; they were different. For one thing, they fed her better. They talked to her. The older human referred to her as AC26. The younger called her Rosie. The younger talked to her more, as the experiments went on. The younger boy soon put things other than food through the feeding slot. First was a jacket, embedded with the boy's scent. During transport to and from the labs and observation cells, Rosie began to pick out the one who spoke to her. Intelligence? Or a possible meal?

As years went past, Rosie could soon perform "tricks" that one could see a two year old child doing, except talking. Rosie could partially understand English commands, and recognize people by sight, sound, and in her case, smell. The altered virus that she unknowingly helped create was christened the AI virus, or Artifical Intelligence virus. It would soon lead to her masters' downfall.

Fumbling around in her hungering state, Rosie could hear things. Gunshots. Cries. She could smell the metallic odor of blood through her food slot. Her transport door opened, and in came her younger master. He smelled, different. Similar to her. At first, the smell of the blood on his clothes set her off, and a chase started. This went on until her energy died, and had a chance to fully check things out. The boy had become like her. A zombie. Now, they could interact as brethren. Rosie now could ask, 'Who are you?' and get an answer she could truly understand. Brethren by death, the new zombie replied, "Tom".

Yeah, I know this is completely different. This is probably how Rosie remembers this. I'm a fanfiction nut, and I like taking things into my own hands. I would appreciate some constructive criticism. Thank you for reading this!

((OOC; 2nd Rough Draft of Rosie's Origins))

((2nd Rough Draft of Rosie's origins

Rosie was a project at the Spencer Mansion, headed by John and his son, Tom. John studied zombie behavior in the labs. He wanted to see if modifying the T-virus using electrical charges and limited doses of genetic material from humans could bring on intelligence. Tom was only nine when he met Rosie, the main subject. Tom's main job was observation and could interact with the subjects, under supervision from his father. Rosie showed much progress, as she was a Crimson Head and a bit brighter (as in brain function) than average zombies (as could be seen in how they manage to run, manipulate their claws and be aware of potential prey). Over the months, Rosie began to recognize faces and voices, along with scents. By the time Tom was twelve, Rosie would surprisingly not snarl at him. Instead, she would look to either the food slot or wait to listen.

However, John found a murder plot against him and his son. In desperation, John injected his son with the modified T-virus, extracted from Rosie. Once Tom became a zombie, John locked him with Rosie. That night, John was killed. It only took several hours (after much chasing and attempted attacks by Rosie) did Rosie begin to re-recognize Tom. It was only a week later when the outbreak happened, and they escaped. They wandered until they reached Raccoon City, by the time the outbreak started there. It was only their luck that an anti-Umbrella group found them, to move them to a sanctuary.

Treatment was not easy for Tom, Rosie, and the 48 other zombies captured. Intense experimental cures and therapies killed several zombies, but with the discovery of Tom and Rosie's virus, allowed for a working treatment to help regain at least some of the zombies' intelligence. This took several years, but now the Zurch City sanctuary, where the zombies now reside, is known for developing the minds of the zombies. As of 2008, all but ten of the zombies were able to be put into foster homes of humans trained to handle them. However, the world was not ready to accept the possibility of zombies, much less intelligent ones. Now other monsters recovered from Umbrella have been sheltered at the sanctuary.

Rosie, though seeming to be a bit hard to get along with, is still untrusting of humans she does not know. Hopefully, the Nexus will change her.

Wow, that took longer than I thought. Anyway, please read/review))

((OOC; Rosie background story))

(( Rosie is a Crimson Head from Resident Evil. She was part of a project by her now zombie brother, Tom. He studied the intelligence and social behaviors among zombies in the Spencer Mansion, looking for a link to potential intelligence. He began to modify the T-virus to work more slowly through their systems, to see if that could create a more sentient zombie. He had studied for two years under Dr. Marcus, but had more interest in zombies. When Tom turned 12, he had a major break. Using electrical impulses and a variety of drugs, he created Rosie. However, she died within the operation, and turned into a Crimson Head. She killed him, turning him into a zombie.

Rosie retained her vicious nature, but did not eat Tom. Her newfound intelligence led her to remember Tom and what he did for her. The electrically-modified T-virus, or EMT, seemed to work. Why was this never heard of? After Tom's death, the project was abandoned.

It was a few years until the Spencer Mansion outbreak, their opportunity to escape. However, during their time of hiding near Raccoon City, Rosie attacked a human, thus helping to start the outbreak.

There is more to this story, but I will include it later.))

((OOC))

((I thank you all for your support and suggestions. I know I was being a bit of a drama llama, but not intentionally (emotional problems). But here's my question, to those who care, how can I make Rosie better? I know not to let her dog pee on people (bad idea), to get her to develop more (will work on that, but you can help), and what else is needed? I'd like to make Rosie a better character, one that, though a zombie, one like a human. Here's the deal, Rosie is a treated zombie, one that cannot spread T-virus. But, she still has it. It's like a cold sore. Sometimes she does get the urge to kill, thus taking it out on inanimate objects or rodents outside. I decided on these flaws to make her slightly more realistic. Anything else?))

I am new to the world of Sages and RPing outside Neopets. It takes me longer for things to click, but by then I guess it's too late. I regret my actions that may have come off as offensive.
Rosie scribbled in her journal. Finally, she wrote, "Thanksgiving's today. I finally got to release my pent up hunting urge. Mom's friend took us turkey hunting, and I took one down! I made sure that turkey died fairly quickly. Of course, my skills of hunting were a bit rusty, but I'm happy to hunt. I was finally able to get a hunting license, since the state's view of zombies has changed a bit. I'm donating the turkey I got to our sanctuary. The ten living there without homes will enjoy it. So will Mrs. Kay and Tana. Mom bought a turkey for our dinner, and poor Zach! He's got the HUGE puppy eyes, trying to be cute. I snuck him some giblets from my catch. Well, Happy Thanksgiving!"

Rosie scribbled in her journal. She had been grounded for a while now. Nearly two weeks? Her mother was frightened for Rosie's safety. That wasn't why Rosie was grounded. Rosie wrote 'Mom got upset at me. I was playing with Zach, and trampled part of her garden. So she said 'No Nexus' for me. I guess she also fears for my safety. So I had to put the remains of those evil tomatoes. But anyway, I was able to attend the memorial service for Raccoon City. Ten years. Wow. And still, the human race is no better. The lickers had been moved to a zoo in New York City. We had no choice. They are very hard to keep. They had the facilities to care for them. The hunters are fine, for now. Most zombies live in foster homes. There are only 10 at the sanctuary. The other 24 have found (temporary?) homes.
50 zombies rescued
12 died of natural causes
4 died unjustly and untimely
34 today'

Rosie shut her diary, and started to cry.

((Ehhh, apparently I got reported for doing something on sages_of_chaos. It's been two weeks, and no contacts to me about the results. I know it takes time, but at least an email? Something to show that they haven't forgotten me?))
